Revenge of last year’s thrilling final, this time Hana swept Hanika out from the center court in Kitzbuhel, 6-1 6-1.

Romania’s Virginia Ruzici took the women’s singles honors after dropping the first set 3-6 to the defending Kitzbuehel champ, Hana Mandlikova.
However, Ruzici‘s shots were much sharper in the second set which she won 6-1. Mandlikova then retired at the start of the third set because of an aggravated strained muscle, which she had suffered Friday. Ruzici earned $8,500 in first-prize money.
