Berlin reports

At the end of a Roman week below expectations, Hana Mandlikova was “picked off” in Berlin against Iris Reidel.
This clay court specialist, born in Brazil and of West German nationality, after a long period of inactivity which saw her drop out of the WTA top 100, seems to be finding her tennis again, and Hana is paying the price.

After a flawless first set, Hana made several mistakes on her forehand, allowing the experienced Riedel to come back and close the match
